Design Workshop provides landscape architecture, urban design and strategic services to clients in North America and throughout the world. Design Workshop is committed to creating special places that meet today's needs and that are sustainable environments for all time. The proprietary DW Legacy Design® process seeks to imbue every project with a balance between environmental sensitivity, community connection, artistic beauty and economic viability that demonstrates measureable results.

Design Workshop continues to provide a comprehensive set of services for Cadence, including: land-use planning and approvals; zoning strategy and approvals; landscape architecture; urban design; 3D visualization; signage and way finding; and website design. Design Workshop worked closely with The LandWell Company to plan and design the Cadence community. The resulting design maximizes density around commercial centers, removes walls from all community roads, connects neighborhoods with walkable streets, trails and linear parks, provides mass-transit options and connects the community to downtown Henderson. The plan narrows the width of roads to make neighborhoods more walkable and encourage pedestrian connectivity between neighborhoods.

Dahlin Group community planning and urban design work has provided innovative and environmentally-sensitive community plans throughout the continental US and in Canada, China, Dubai, Libya, Russia and Spain. It believes that good design by its very definition must consider issues such as resource conservation and sustainability, and its commitment to sustainable design is a cornerstone of its belief that place making is at the heart of everything we do.

Working in conjunction with The LandWell Company, its consultants, and the City of Henderson, Dahlin Group applied its extensive community design and residential and commercial architecture experience to creating a comprehensive architectural design standards document to steer architectural development within Cadence. Starting from a consistent overall vision for the harmonious and logical growth of residential and commercial architecture within the community, this document provides guidance to home builders and developers who will convert the Cadence vision into reality.
